This no doubt grows out of your gifts as an actress. If I could distill your picture'’s virtues down to one essence after all, it would be that it is so successfully character-driven.Everything that happens in the film –- even the wildest and most farcical stuff –- has a solid core of human logic, human comedy. Only someone who well understands people’s motives, and their little motives-within-motives, could have gotten the particularly delicious performance that you did out of Tim Bottoms. He’s always good, but few filmmakers have the insight to ask him to be funny. He is a splendid deadpan comedian and you bring that out. The same goes for everyone else in the cast, your self included. You’'ve gathered a terrific collection of fresh faces; the humor you serve is very dry, and much to my liking. You'’re also a solid storyteller. You juggled well, keeping the various plots spinning and in the air. Sometimes I would think, “Oh, I know where this is going,” but you’'d throw a curve and go somewhere much better.
